Your Daily Update from The Project to Restore America

October 04, 2011
Dear Project To Restore America reader,

Here is your daily project update:

How We Know You Will Pay for the New U.N. Building
U.S. taxpayers pay 22% of the U.N.'s budget. But what I am about to tell you has been kept very quiet… the groundwork is being laid to build a new U.N. building in New York City using your tax dollars in a time of unprecedented unemployment…

The Shape of Things to Come
Even with all the pressure on legislators, they just can't stop spending. It doesn't matter how much money is put aside for an organization like the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)… Because when they asked for more, they got it…

  What We Know About OccupyWallStreet.org
The Wall Street demonstrators lack a plan so they won't get far… But unfortunately Wall Street's participation in bastardizing true capitalism over the last decade has left a window wide open for socialist thought…

Why People Aren't on Board with Obama's Deficit-Reduction Plan
In more of an effort for reelection than true concern for the economy, Obama's Deficit-Reduction Plan is a plea to the populist voter. But it doesn't stand a chance…

Why Young Women Are Fiscally Conservative
Women ages 18-29 are delaying life decisions and major purchases due to the economy, according to Generation Opportunity. They have been trying to establish themselves and their careers amidst economic upheaval, they don't feel their legislators represent their interests, and they are all for reducing spending instead of raising taxes…

Once again, thank you for sending us your e-mails. We can't respond individually, but we read and consider all of them. Send your question, comment, or complaint to wendy@theprojecttorestoreamerica.com.

In Friday's newsletter, we unveiled our action plan for The Project. Here is some feedback about the plan of action…

You want candidates to sign a pledge to “support and vote for” certain amendments. But, as is often the case in government, bills are loaded with all sorts of other crap. At what point is it acceptable for a candidate to not support or vote for one of these amendments due to the extra stuff it has taken on? We hear this all the time from politicians, going both ways. Yes, you voted for this great bill, but look what other garbage was tacked onto it. Or shame on you, you didn’t vote for this wonderful bill (i.e. the “Patriot Act”), never mind all the other garbage that was in the fine print. Where does the line get drawn? – Ryan

Bidwell comment: Ryan, thank you for bringing this valid point to my attention. I will pass this concern on to the well-known legal consultant who is hashing out the details of the plan of action. He is currently writing a whitepaper to serve as a roadmap for the Project. He will unveil all of the details at the Project to Restore America conference.

You will receive an official invite to the conference at the end of next week… It will be held at the Venetian Casino in Las Vegas on November 19. In December, we will publish the roadmap in a Friday e-letter.

Last night on local San Francisco news, they discussed 2 demonstrations: 1 in NY near Brooklyn Bridge; another, in LA; peaceful, intelligent…. Regarding what?  People demanding a “different financial system”… I only perused Porter’s 20 plus page report (interesting anagram), and his 3 basic points are solid. Anyway, what I’m trying to say is the timing couldn’t be better for a fiscal revolution of this nature. – Rachel

Bidwell comment: Rachel, we are putting the right resources behind this project... And the benefit of it stemming from a publishing company is this... We have a very loud megaphone...

Regards,

Wendy Bidwell
Director, The Project to Restore America

The Project to Restore America is a non-partisan call for a fiscally-responsible government, to bring true freedom to Americans as outlined in the Constitution.

Each day, we will be sending you the most timely and important news and information on the three "pillars" of The Project:

Balanced budgets for every level of government
Sound money backed by gold
The right for all Americans to keep 80% of his/her income

This has nothing to do with Republicans, Democrats, or whatever political party you belong to. The system we have today has delivered ALL of us to the doorstep of national bankruptcy. Unless we reform the way we govern our country, by adopting the three Project "pillars" as amendments to the Constitution, we will lose the liberty that is our birthright as Americans.

That is the goal for The Project to Restore America. Ultimately, our community will be a powerful vehicle for change.

Let's move quickly!
